When Norma and I first starting having children, we heard several comments from other parents to help prepare us. Things like, “Get your sleep while you can!” or “Start saving for college now!” or “Don’t blink, they’ll be all grown up before you know it!”

That last comment is the truest thing I’ve come to realize about being a parent. It seems like yesterday that we had 3 babies in the house, and just like that, Penelope, Leonardo and Silas have all grown up! Now we’re at that stage in life that we have something going on almost every night and weekend. With life moving so fast, I do my best to Take Pictures and Videos often of my family and other things that I enjoy. Everything from the kids taking their first steps, to birthday parties and sports games, to a fresh cut lawn or a good-looking plate of food. If I enjoy it, there’s a good chance you’ll see me take a pic!

Those of you on social media have probably noticed that I’ve started sharing a lot more over this past year. My reason for doing so is simple. I enjoy sharing things that make me happy. I enjoy spreading a positive message and sharing both successes and failures in life. I enjoy challenging myself and teaching those closest to me that our minds and bodies are capable of a lot more than we give ourselves credit for. Some people might get tired of seeing my posts and will choose to unfriend or unfollow, and that’s okay. I’ve learned that the positive impact I’ve had on others from simply sharing, far outweighs anyone that I might annoy. 😊

I truly enjoy having a google photo memory pop up from 5 years ago. It reminds me what life was like then and how different things are now. Sometimes a memory can cause us to reflect and appreciate the things we have. Other times, a memory might bring up tougher times or remind you that it’s time to take action and get serious about making some much needed changes. Regardless of what it might be, pictures are the memories that we get to hold on to.
